Handmade chairs are one of the most difficult pieces in woodworking and therefore, one of the most satisfying. The Chair Making class will be an intense, 10 weeks course, exploring design, talking about ergonomics, discussion of special skills specific to chair making in contrast with those required to make most other furniture, and the construction of one dining chair. Each student will be working on a chair design provided by Ebanista as well as a bit of chair designing for their own future projects.
