A beautiful project isn’t complete until the finish brings it to life. In this hands-on 5-hour workshop, you’ll explore the transformative art of wood finishing—learning how to enhance grain, add depth, and protect your work with confidence and intention.
Designed for all skill levels, this class demystifies the finishing process and helps you move beyond guesswork. You’ll learn how to properly prepare wood surfaces, including sanding strategies, surface inspection, and techniques to avoid common flaws before a finish is ever applied. Participants will work with a variety of finishes while gaining practical experience in application. The workshop also covers how different finishes interact with wood species, how to build and layer coats, and how to troubleshoot issues like blotching, streaking, or dust contamination. Throughout the session, we’ll emphasize both technique and understanding—so you can choose the right finish for your project and achieve consistent, professional-looking results.
